'Wind In The Willows' LP with Eric Von Schmidt Art

Here's another great author/illustrator/musician pairing: 

A late-60's dramatization of part I of "The Wind In The Willows" by Kenneth Grahame, with cover art by Eric Von Schmidt.  It includes the chapters "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and "Dolce Domum".  Von Schmidt was a brilliant and influential folksinger and fingerstyle guitarist- his record The Folk Blues of Eric Von Schmidt appears on the cover of Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home.  Von Schmidt was also a celebrated painter and illustrator-- perhaps his most famous work is this handbill from a 1965 Bob Dylan/Joan Baez concert:

Von Schmidt was one of my earliest guitar influences-- here's a link to his version of 'Champagne Don't Hurt Me, Baby":

PS: The Wind in The Willows was one of Pink Floyd's earliest influences.  They named their first record Piper At The Gates Of Dawn after one of the afore-mentioned chapters:
